Habitat for Humanity @ CUA

"All God's people deserve a simple, decent place to live."

--Millard Fuller, co-founder of Habitat for Humanity

The Habitat for Humanity chapter of the Catholic University of America was founded in 1997. The mission of this organization is to involve students in Habitat for Humanity International. This means that students will have the opportunity to be involved in bringing simple, decent housing to poorer members of the DC and this nation's community through several programs and activities provided by the university chapter.
CUA HFH has grown rapidly since it was founded. Our chapter runs 2-3 day trips per month, an annual fall retreat, and 2 Collegiate Challenge Spring Break trips. Through our day trips we work with DC Habitat, as well as affiliates in the surrounding counties, such as Fairfax, Prince George's, and Montogmery counties, as well as Washington Parks and People.
CUA's campus chapter runs monthly membership meetings during the first week of every month. All those interested in CUA HFH are welcome to attend. For more info on these meetings, including date and time, email the chapter President, Melissa Stunkel, at 12stunkel@cua.edu.
